Default best hooking drag radial on the street?

Like the title says, cars is full bolt ons,ss3600. Traction from a dig would be great but what about a 20 roll. I currently have kdw 2's all around and was leaning towards the bfg new tread Dr so my tires somewhat match. But after searching im very undecided, there's no clear superior tire for my situation. Its a weekend warrior that gets about 5000 miles a year. I live in south central Texas so rain is not an issue, and its always hot. Car is tracked once a year MAYBE so I'm not concerned with track performance. A tire that could dead hook on the street with bolt ons and an ss3600 would be amazing......thoughts? Oh yeah rims are 18x9.5

My car hooks from anything but a dig on Invos if it isn't freezing out. If rain isn't an issue, MT ET Street Radial is going to be your best bet - but most say they only get around 5k out of them.

In your shoes I would try the Toyo.

My car will hook a 275/50r15 ET street from anything but a WOT dig hit, a 5mph roll out is enough and you can feather a dig. My car also doesn't transfer weight at all really so the tires are working pretty hard. They are deadly in even a morning dew though.

The only size I see for the toyo is a 315/35/18. I think that might be too wide for. My 9.5 rim,not to mention car is lowered On koni/stranos. I currently have 295's out back.

You're not gonna go out racing the car around unless the weather is nice and dry......

So get the Hoosier DOT Drag Radial........

My car will destroy a rear dead hooking on nitto drags, but only after a long *** burnout. Im probably going to pick up some toyos when i replace these. They make a 275 40 that will fit just fine on your wheels. Theyre pretty cheap too

Nitto or MT hook about the same. Toyo R888 probably are the best bet in all honesty. At 28+psi a drag radial isn't hooking great on the street... the R888 hooks better at higher PSI and won't give up jack in the corners or rain.

I have your exact set up minus the wheel size and I run toyo tq's and they do a good job at hooking.

I'm debating on buying a set of 17's to put on the back because the tires are so much cheaper. But then I would have 18's up front but a little more sidewall in the back.

I like Nittos for everyday street use (275/40/17) and MT's for the strip (255/50/16).

My car before with street tires, i cud be cruising 35, nail it, and fry em off. Put on some 555Rs, and now i hook dead on. Even from a stop there is barely any spin. Bolt on car.

Ok I will say this after driving with my ss3600 installed my bfg kdw 2's hook amazing at 25 mph and over,so drag radials aren't a must yet. I also have full suspension in the rear so that might br another reason.

Exactly. The NT05R can hook about as well as the ET Streets from what I've seen. Hell, I think one of the Chevy mags tested them on a 450rwhp Camaro and got identical times out of them. The NT05R are much softer than the NT555Rs...
