Default turbo 5.3 transmission that will probably never see track

Building a turbo 5.3 shooting for 600 rw max.. My plan is to build a DD that will probably never see the track or extremely sticky tires.

More then likely the combo will be something like a stock 5.3 t76 in a 3800lb car. I would like a overdrive transmission and this is a fairly tight budgeted build so Im assuming a 4l80e would probably be the way to go but wasnt sure how long a 4l60e would last driving like you stole it with no track time?

My concern with the 4l80e is loss of power and weight but Im not into changing transmission every other weekend either.

What you guys think??

A 4l80 in stock form will hold good power and even more with minor clutch and shift kit upgrades. Would be my choice if it were a mostly street driven car no matter how much weight it might add.

4L80E with Transgo HD-2 reprogram kit. Mine has taken a beating and hasnt missed a beat. The 80E shifts much much much nicer than a 60E.

Yes, you will need a segment swap for trans control OR a wiring harness mod that involves a relay or two to use a 60E tune.

T56 for a street car, in my opinion their is nothing more enjoyable! Hold quite a bit of power with a few of the right parts and a good clutch (RXT).
