Ensure spark plug wires are fully seated and in the proper location on the optispark.

Any check engine light/ trouble codes?

Did you have the PCM tuned at all or just throw in the cam and fire it up?

check your grounds and throttle body and other gaskets and for vacuum leaks

look into the IAC Drill mod also

When I installed my cc503 it wouldnt run and idle till I drill the IAC hole a little bigger. then ran like a champ and ran even better after the tune.

and any other mods? stall? p&p intake/heads?

What year is your car? That hypertech "chip" isn't helping at all I'm sure.

you need a tune! getting a tune will most likely solve your problem

PS that hypertech is a bunch of crap.

A tune will not fix a no start problem. Regardless of cam the car should still start. May not idle well, but it will fire. You stated you ensured you had spark, how did you do that other than putting in a new opti? Did you pull a wire and see if there was spark? You make sure the opti harness is plugged in? Was the opti easy to slide onto the splined shaft or did you force it on? You can get the codes by jumping some terminals in the data port IIRC. There should be more info on www.shbox.com
How about the valves, how did you adjust them?

I pulled the plugs and check for spark. The car even started and idle ruff. But it ran. I didn't do anything to the valves

an easier way to put it, did you adjust your rockers? a lot of people refer to that by saying adjusting the valves because thats what occurs when adjusting the rockers.

If your car starts and runs with you pushing the pedal but doesn't want to idle you need a tune. I've never heard of being able to swap in an aftermarket performance camshaft without reflashing the computer but I could be wrong.

Double check the lash on your rockers, get RID of the "chip" and get the PCM tuned, and I bet that will solve your problems and it will run great.

I could be completely wrong but I thought that 93 was the only year that requires an eprom to be burned and installed on the PCM board. If that's the case he needs to look into a mail order tune where they can send him the chip. Again, could be totally wrong...
