Default Carbed L92 engine-which front and rear covers

Can I run the stock front and rear covers and buy the corresponding MSD box for the 58x reluctor wheel? Thought I read somewhere Id need to change these out

Yes. The 6012 box is for the 58x reluctors.

Not sure if you are asking about variable valve timing. I don't know anything about that.

It's the front cover you have to change because of the vvt...you will also have to switch to a 3 bolt cam....Martin over at tick performance sells the vvt delete kit you will need its just over a 100 bucks...check it out...
