Moser or Strange are good brands for 12 bolts.

Make sure its a 12 bolt for an fbody not an old 12 bolt out a g-body from back in the day. If your are building it up, replace all bearings and gear and you should be good.

I was thinking buy an old school 12 bolt but cut the axle tubes off and weld the 10 bolt tubes on so over all length would stay the same then get 30 spline axles.

Where are you going to mount the torque arm?

You should consider a S60 or a 9 inch rear end. They will not break.

Well if I use the stock 10 bolt axle tubes then the torque arm mount should be close then if anything probably scoot in an inch or so

The torque arm does not bolt to the alxe tubes it bolts to the center section of the 10 bolt...get under your car and you'll see what I'm talking about..you need to go to plan B cause your plan A will not work.
