Lt1 Sparkplug wire question!
the stock wires on my 94 t/a just came off, do I need to put the plastic sleeves back on the new one? and if I do... where? I did not pay attention when I ripped them off... Thanks!
and sorry for my carelessness!

its the same kinda tube that goes around the fuel lines, but smaller.
I drove about 150 miles today no problem so I'm thinking that it was just a precaution. I heard they were to protect the wires from chaffing on the corners of the block.

There are couple of short lengths of "convoluted tubing" that GM uses on the drivers side wires, at the front of the engine. I'm reasonably sure tat it's there just to help with the organization of the wiring, and eliminate any wire chaffing in that area. I reinstalled it when I replaced my wire set, and I doubt you'll have any issues without it, but it only takes a couple of minutes to put it back on...

yeah the 'plastic tubing" aka convoluted tubing goes on the wires front where they wrap around the block AND on #7 wire that runs inside the bracket along the block.
this is not the crap you buy at auto part stores for general wiring. It is "high heat" so if replacing get the right stuff.
