underdrive pulley question
Anyone notice inconsistent and or higher engine temperature after switching to a 25% under drive crank pulley? The engine in my car was rebuild everything is new including the cooling system it's a forged bottom end 11.1 347ci now. I had better and consistent coolant temperatures with a stock engine and a cracked leaking radiator.

I had a Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley on my ws6 and never had issues, temps stayed the same, no flickering lights, etc. I now have a c5 with a Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley again and I still don't have any issues with anything. Both of my cars have been tuned with the pulley on as well so that may be part of the reasoning.

I know everyone on here swears by them, and I even had an ASP on the car for 12 years from buying it new, but I NEVER thought it was 'worth' the very few extra ponies it delivered vs. battery life, stop and go traffic cooling issues (shortening battery life even more from the fans constantly being on ), and a little rougher running due to less 'flywheel effect' balancer mass.
So, when that fell apart, I went with a FULL, OEM size Fluidampr to replace it.

I have heard so many mixed reviews, I think this winter I will get one. I dont plan on it idling for long periods but when I do that I will be getting a custom tune
