well ive pretty much paid for the car, they pay for insurance. and i still (when im not living at school in Denton) live with them. i got a drag racing ticket and they had had about enough of the car. so...yeah. but we worked it all out.

bluestreak98, I think we're in about the same situation. I'm a freshman in college right now and my parents are buying me a car, spending maybe around $14,000. I'm debating throwing my money in with them to get something slightly more interesting. They're going to be paying insurance, and any repair costs through my gradation. That's why I'm thinking of getting one of these, because I don't have to worry about the high insurance costs or repairs. I'd like to talk to you about how you convinced your parents to let you keep your car, and just abou tit in general. AIM me sometime at Ru2n00n3er if you want to talk.

i actually have had the car for about 2 years, since junior year in highschool. origionally i was going to pay the car payments and she would pay insurance as long as i kept my grades up. then when i came to college she said that she'd pay for everything just so i would stay focused and not have to get a job. ive been very fortunate to have parents who would do such a thing for me. But i crossed the line when i got caught with my drag racing ticket, i put alot of pressure on myself because i knew i had let them down. my parents saw that and decided that making me sell the car would be a lil harsh. the ticket was dismissed and ive been out of trouble and avoiding these situations since then. but basically, anything breaks on the car, i pay. my parents took care of the payment (its paid for now) and they still pay insurance. so i pay for anything else, gas, tires, repairs, oil, etc. but it works out, like i said im very fortunate to have parents who agreed to pay for the car and stuff. but yeah, if u want just IM me or whatever if you wanna chat.
