With nitrous? Or all motor? I assume nitrous because that's hella mph for a stock 5.3 and that weight! Lol

Haha yes it's a 150 shot, Steve Johnson tune. I hit it with a 200 shot but blew the tires off so ill have to get a pair of slicks if I want a low 6 second pass.

Yes it's mini tubbed ladder bar setup. I had too much pressure in the m/t drag radial. I would rather just run a 10.5w and be done with it.

Bone stock 40k mile 5.3 out of 2004 avalanche. Comp 273lsr cam. Arp head bolts 799 heads cleaned up and shaved .20. Trunion upgrade and trick flow pushrods. Victor jr intake 650 Holley dp. JW 10 inch converter 3600 stall. Th400 3.50 gear. That's the complete run down.

pretty basic...but now that he claimed stock in the beginning, i wonder if "cleaned up heads" means a full CNC program run through them

25 hp difference between stock 706's and the 799's. I had the truck dynoed with both, and ran at the track with both. less then .1 difference ,On my next 5.3 I will run the 706's it not worth the change.

And as far as this 5.3 is concerned I consider it mostly stock compaired to the big and small blocks I've built in the past. stock gm short block, gm casting heads is that a more acceptable description?

lol, i understand. it's a simple setup that performs well. i plan to just tell people my s10 has a hopped up vortec. everyone around here will assume 5.7 truck motors before the LS engines.

I thought about tryin to pass mine off as cam only but it didn't feel right with the ls3 heads and a single plane and big headers lol. These things make incredible power for such little work that's for sure.

Which rearend are you running? I'm doing a similar build. The previous owner has a posi 7.5 in it now with 3.42 gears. that's all he told me.
