general lift and different rockers questions... enter cam and valve spring gods!
i have a 2009 Pontiac G8
it has the L92 heads on it with the heavier intake valve (not like LS3's which is the lighter intake valve)
i have a cam installed its a 223/231 Dur@50 610/617 lift 116+4 LSA
im wondering maybe someone can help me figure this out but... i want to add some more power by adding 1.8 or 1.85 ratio roller rockers on to my setup, ive done the calculation and i think ill be adding roughly .050 more lift...
so from 610-660 on the intake
and from 617-667 on the exhaust
is this Too Much Lift? or is it doable? also i figure ill need to change the valve springs aswell.. which valve spring should i be looking at? and from who should i buy it from?
hope someone has some insight on this
thanks

I'm no god, but I'll throw in my two cents. I wouldn't install higher ratio roller rockers. The increased mass of the roller rocker will be harder to control than the stock rockers.
If you try to run that much lift with roller rockers you'll need to increase your spring pressure tremendously. Excessive spring pressure can rob power from your engine.
Which springs are you running now?

The stock L92 valve is not a bad valve at all and is in fact lighter than some of the stainless replacements out there. I've been working with the L92 heads since 2006 and have run a half a dozen different cams with up to .660 lift. While the heads do love lift with the correct valve events, I've never once thought of running 1.8 rockers.
