security light on car wont start

security light on car wont start every other day my security light will come on and car wont start. after it sits for 5 mins the light will go out and i can start it up. i tried using my spare key and still having the same intermittion issue. can it be deleted through hptuners so i dont need the chip to start my car. or should i buy a new lock cylinder?
