Just wondering if anyone on this board as access to vehicle VIN# information? I am trying to see what vehicle my E38 ECM came out of. I believe it is a 2008 Escalade but I am trying to comfirm that. Reason being I need to download the proper software into my 6L80 TCM which I have no idea what year it is. Hoping the TCM is 2009 and older. So if anyone can do it I will send you the VIN# in a private message. Thanks, Allen

Update: I just paid a dollar on Carfax and got the information. The ECM is out of a 2007 Escalade Sport Utility 4 door. Has the 6.2L motor, AWD and the A6 transmission. Hmmmm wonder what effect the AWD will have if any with a 2WD A6 in the car? Sounds like I need to maybe download a 2007 Corvette 6L80 program into my TCM.

Then again maybe get a 2008 E38 ECM flash with 2WD and flash the TCM with a Covette 2008 tune. By the way all of this is in my 1965 Buick Skylark.
