Default Regal vs Turbo G35

Was at the local hangout for a few this weekend. My buddy quazarZ28 set me up with a 'fast' turbo G35. I really had no idea what to expect, he said it made 440whp before he 'played' with it. Guy was cool and patient with me while I opened the down pipe to make the race a little more interesting.

Go to leave... car doesn't ******* start.
These 97-03 W-body cars notoriously have security faults. When it happens, the car won't crank for 5-20 minutes... basically whenever it feels like starting. I sat in the lot turning the key on and off for about 5 minutes while he waited for me. Eventually he left to go run someone else.

5 minutes after he leaves, my car starts up.
******* face palm.

I've since deactivated the security function... hopefully I run into him again in the future.

On a side note, in my rage on the way home I puppy kicked the **** out of some DSM, unknown mods. That was fun and he gave me a big thumbs up. Nice of him to do so =]

Anyone else been embarrassed? Or am I the only one driving a hunk of ****?

Was going to race a Cobra in my dad's old auto Z28 and it decided to give me a big **** You. Parked it and went inside to grab a soda at the meet spot, came out to go start 'er up and nothing. Interior lights, headlights, and everything BUT the engine came on. Wouldn't even turn over. Couple hours later, cranked right up. One of those times when I say everything happens for a reason, maybe it wasn't in the cards for me to race that night? I think about that **** any time fishy **** happens before I race...call me paranoid.

Any money I win from that contest is going directly into resources to make more videos... so if you vote for me, it's a vote for more racing

**** that security light. Happened to me a LOT after I put the new PCM in years ago but it hasn't given me problems lately, the light comes on sometimes but the car still starts fine.

In my old car 95 z28 had a guy that had been talkin **** for weeks about running me with his fox body mustang, I was puttin down around 445/420 and I'm not sure of his numbers but it was bolt on with spray for his setup, we finally go to the track, now I had been having some starting issues and it seemed to not be running right, but the day at the track it was worse than normal, we line up, do our burnouts and as soon as I stage the car sputters and dies, my fuel pump took a **** literally seconds before a grudge match week's in the making, one of the worst days of my life lol

Was in my previous 05 e55 amg and was suppose to run this bolt on c5. We roll up next to each other, the car feels sluggish and odd. 3 honks and my amg barley goes anywhere, c5 was running away. Faulty inter cooler pump, replaced it the next day and ran the c5 again. Let's say the c5 wasn't too happy.

My 5th gen's starter motor decided to die about a couple months ago.

Left me stranded in a parking lot on race night with about 3 races lined up

Know that feeling :/

I know dat feel.

Right after I got my Regal tuned for corn I was getting on the freeway and the feed line hose from my fuel pump came off inside the tank. Had a bazillion races lined up, then everyone found out my car "broke".

Good death, and not at all, but its funny you should mention this. I'm helping a friend in a 2001 Alero and he's having a very similar issue with the theftlock system. I tried wiring a resistor in, and that didn't work. Had to have someone reflash the key to the BCM and i'm figuring it'll need replacement soon. They share something in common? That Passlock system in the Regal too?

Either way, hope you get it sorted and link up for an actual run next time.
