150hp shot, When should I lock my triple disc converter?
Hey guys
I need your expertise on when I should lock up my FTI triple disc 3800 nitrous converter? 4L85E tranny. Car specs below in sig. 98 Camaro SS
Currently running 11.20s @ 121 mph with a 1.63 60ft on motor.
Should I lock my converter up on the 150 shot, if so what speed? Will it help me out? I think I am borderline on too much gear with the 4.11s and 275-60-15 M/T DRs as it is, hoping locking the converter will help stretch me out further towards the traps?
I am roughly around 450ish on motor, and should be around 600rwhp on the 150 shot. What do ya'll think? Low 10s @ 130-132mph??

Back a few years ago I locked my 150 shot as soon as I hit 3rd gear. It picked up .2-.3 if I remember right. But I had a loose NA stall. Yours is probably way more efficient and I'd be surprised if you notice a big improvement. Just have to play with it and see what it likes. I ran a manual lockup switch on mine for the track, that way I didn't have to change the tune to try different settings. Good luck!
