I noticed that the reflective heat wrapped wire loom that rests on the inner fender well on the passenger side is basically touching the primary on my TSP 1 7/8 passenger side header (will put up a pic later). Up until the fuel pump died the car was running perfectly so I hope nothing has happened to the wires inside so far but I have driven around 1000 miles with the headers so far in the last month. From what I remember reading a few days back the O2 sensor and starter wires are in there? What have you guys done to protect these wires?

You can use a header wrap, or they make heat resistant reflective tape (that's what I used) to keep heat away. Biggest thing is to keep it hugging the frame as much as possible.

I added some aluminum foil to it to help spread the heat out and then added some zip ties where it would hold it as far away from the header as possible. I have Hooker 1 7/8ths but had the same issue.

i unhooked and pulled them wires all up and extended them running them towards the front of the engine and run them out of the way from the header heat.

I use the dei cool tape heat reflective adhesive tape to wrap the fuel lines for my true duals. This loom that is touching the header already has one layer of heat reflective tape
From the factory. Ill add another layer tomorrow and try to zip tie at both ends higher and lower up the wire to help it hug the inner fender well better. You guys that extended them you mean cut them and solder
Or crimp in extra wire to extend?

Mine are really close too. No problem for 3 years

Did the extra layers of heat reflective tape and zip tie above and below problem area to pull the loom in between two primaries and as close to the fender well as possible. Looks a lot safer now and it gives me piece of mind for the minimal investment in materials and time it took.
