Default ***Rising From the Ashes Pt. 2***

The time has come for this Bird to burn down and be reborned. Im pulling out the motor and trans next saturday, to make room for the new build to come.

This is the Plan..

Forged short block, with either 235 or 245 TEA CnC heads, pat g spec'd out cam, and lots of spray.
Looking for around 450-500 rwhp NA, and as much as the engine can handle on spray. Transmission will be a 4l60e performabuilt rated at 700rwhp.

This is mainly the what I had in mind, if i can find a way to make this build more affordable but still make great power safely with other components, please post and share some info.
This is not one of those threads where ppl have a wish list, this is actually going to happen, stay tuned and let the knowledge flow!!!

Guild looks like it'll be fun, good luck with it. Have you done your research on performabuilt?

I was thinking of LS3 Intake, but if I go 235's I should be ok with my FAST 92/92 set up with a port job. And yes, im staying Cathedral style head.

Yes I have done some research and what is most attractive is their warranty, as well as price.

Can't run an Ls3 intake with Cathedrals.. Stick with the 92/92.

I recommend painting too if you care enough.

Also hide your wires on the passenger side.

For some reason, I am only able to upload the pic of ride with no motor, but anyways.
The car currently sits with no motor and no transmission. Most of the accessories have been removed from the motor and will be reused with the new stuff. I may Reuse the stall, but not sure at this point.

I def need to hide all those wires!, and even tho it looks really dirty due to oil prints and what not, the whole bay was sprayed during the incident in Mex.
Some friends tell me the wire tuck is very hard and haven't gotten anyone to say i'll help you with it. guess its time to follow a write up.

New forged Thompson Motor Sports Short block. Also added a new ls2 chain, all the lower gaskets, TMS head studs, and should be ready to be picked up Tomorrow, but will wait till this weekend to go and get it. Time for a small road trip.

My New Trickflow 235 Heads, 65cc, .650 dual springs. These heads should be nasty when spray hits them.

Ps. sorry for all the 1 pic post... I think its the ipad that wont allow me to do multiple pics. If i try, only one gets uploaded.

Nice build! Why the 60? I'd think with the kind of power you'll be making you'd get something stronger? I also thought trannys were rated in fwhp, so wouldn't you be close to the limit N/A?

Thanks!
And The 60 was just part of the plan, but may not be taking that route. I have a good debate going in a different thread In regards to transmissions

I'll be running an 80, I figured do it once and do it right. I'm saving some money by rebuilding it myself
