Default need help w/ red letters

I need help on how to remove the red lettering without ruining the paint. Im trying to murder her out

impossible to remove the red - few coats of gloss black will hide the lettering. the time needs to be spent in careful masking. get some 1/8in striping tape to mask it off cleanly then fill in the rest with wider tape. Then you can hit it with a fine scotch brite pad followed by some wax and grease remover before you spray. Any auto parts store will have gloss black in a rattle can.

From looking at the picture they are decals. A cheap heat gun and some patience. It would be a PITA to tape them up, but if you did it and painted them my hats off to ya.

If its paint I'd pull the panel sand seal and paint the whole thing. They are easy enough to take off so you don't need to mask anything off, and anytime you leave an edge exposed to the elements it gives it a place to fail.
