Default 26" or 28" tire?

My car is full bolt ons and also full weight. I do plan on going with heads, cam and spray but it will be next year before I do. I see a lot of guys running 28" tires. Is it to get more mph or better 60' ? I'm trying to decide between the Et streets and Hossier drag radial but leaning more towards the Hossier. Any help is appreciated. I did search. I'm thinking with my power level that the 26" will be the best but not sure. They will be strictly for the track. I have my stockers for the street.

Unless you want to buy two sets within the next year do yourself a favor and get 28s now. I did the exact same thing and 1 year later when i started spraying the car I had to get 28s. They work much better on spray than a 26 however you can make a 26 work but it won't be as consistent on sketchy tracks as a 28 will be.

I did the same thing after getting 4.10s I was running out of gear. For the track the more sidewall you can get the better and I didn't see a drop in mph but left me with enough rpm to spray.

I'm thinking with the 3.73's and my power level that the 26's would be okay. I may be wrong though. I think I'm going to just run 26" for now then after I do heads, cam, and nitrous I will try it like that and if need be switch to 28". By the time I upgrade, it will be time for some more tires anyway.
