Are any of you planning to attend the Goodguys event? It could be a good opportunity to meet some of you and compare notes. I personally plan to run the autocross, just to see if my combination is even close.

Feel free to connect while we are there, I did the harness modification myself. Not particularly difficult, just time consuming.

Did not know they even have an autocross at Goodguys what day is it on. I will just be watching. What car will you be running 69 GTO or something else ?

The auto cross runs daily, check it out at www.goodguysautocross.com . Yes I plan to run the 69. So far all of the chassis modifications have been aimed in that direction. I am sure the car is way better than the driver.

I caught up with Tom on Sunday at the Church Boys Racing booth, these guys specialize in 67 and earlier Novas . Tom took the time to talk to me about my build at great length , even tho its not a Nova. Got a lot of tips and great advise , thanks Tom.

Well we finally made it to the event Sunday mid morning, after the fuel delivery issues chronicled in another thread, and not with the car (we took my DD S-10 and the AC pooed the bed in the middle of the trip). I did not get to run the auto cross, but did get to see the shootout. Our time was short but I was again impressed by the quality and quantity of cars in attendance. The gate tally was over 100K people through the gate and right at 6000 cars. I strongly recommend that if you have the chance, make plans to attend next year, you will not be sorry.
