Switching plugs I've been spraying my stock ls1 with a 150 with 3 degrees of timing pulled with ac delco platinum plugs on 100 octane with no problem. Multiple people have suggested going to the br7ef plugs. What would be the benefit and what gap would be ideal? Is this a colder range plug than the delcos?

No the car was tuned about a year ago with a wideband on a dyno. It's had 2 sets of plugs since then and haven't read them. I think I'm going to pick up 2 sets of plugs when I get off work and try to tune it at the track this weekend will def read the plugs and I'm going to run the car on 105 race fuel, it typically runs on 93. What gap would you recommend on the plugs?

Leave the 93 in the car, you will be fine. Tune it on the fuel you will be always racing on. There will be times you are going to be wanting to spray it on the street and you don't have the 105 in the tank. I have sprayed 225 off the rail on 93 so 150 will be fine. Like stated before, you need to pull 6* total. If your tune is stock, its the only way your motor has been surviving with only 3* pulled.
Put an NGK br6ef in there and hit the track and report back. You will most likely be able to put some timing back in it and lean it out, but we won't make that judgement until you report back with pics of your plugs.

Went to the track tonight to get a good plug reading. Made a pass on motor with acdelco plugs no timing pulled. Ran 8.2 in the 1/8th all motor on slicks. Swapped plugs pulled 6 degrees and made a pass on a 150 shot. Sprayed in second shifted and sprayed third and motor went to rev limiter and nitrous switched off. Clutch is fried. Engine is fine pulled plugs when I got home. Defiantly is lean I suspect the rev limiter plus the spray is probably the reason. I will swap the clutch this weekend and make a few good passes and post pics. Thanks everybody for the input.
