Default LQ4 and LQ9

I'm looking into doing an LS swap on my car and I was thinking about doing the 6.0 and I know that the LQ4 is cable throttle but it requires a custom flex plate for mounting a T56 to it and I was wondering if the LQ9 needed the same thing and is cable throttle.

2001+ LQ4 and LQ9 will bolt right up to an LS T56 with a new flywheel. Only the 2000 and older ones need a spacer.

You can find both LQ4 and LQ9 in Drive by Cable and Drive by Wire depending on the year of the engine and the application.

Thanks for the info. Which years were the Cable throttle engines? Also is there an advantage of an LQ9 over an LQ4?
