Default Superchips Flashpaq good or bad?

I know HP Tuners would be the best way to go, but I picked up a Superchips Flashpaq 2825 for cheap. I have seen a few post that say if you have headers or bolt ons not to use this tuner because it may lean it out too much.

Anyone else hear anything different? Anyone use this handheld?

I think it makes a great paper weight. I have one of their so called 1996 - 2008 Vortec truck tuners. First off, I can't find a single 1st gen vortec motor it will support, so that means its really a 1999 - 2008 tuner and it only supports 1999 - 2002 motors if they are gen 3 vortecs. None of the 512k pcm tunes would support any of the optional tunes, such as 91 octane or towing. Also after changing a newer 1 meg pcm back to stock, it stayed married to that pcm and I ended up paying them $100 to restore it
