Default just swapped in a m6 second grinds?

I just got my m6 swap done about 2 weeks ago, I bought the trans used from a guy, showed me a video of driving and had "no problems".. but as soon as I got it in my car and tried it my second gear grinds... ill post up a video to show what its doin.. I did a monster stage 2 clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing, tick master, pro 5.0, and short stick.. all that is different from what he had in his car.. let me know your opinions on what the problem might be, syncros?? thanks for your time chad

My Camaro did the same thing in 2nd and 5th. If you forced it in it was fine, just couldn't shift it back and forth. A aamco 2 hours away tried rebuilding it 6 times and on the 7th time of them pulling it I took it to Tick haven't had a problem since. Does it shift normally if the car is rolling? Or does it still have to forced in? If rolling makes no difference I would bet its a syncro.

Almost sounds like the shift fork is messed up, or the syncro is dying, but my thoughts on the syncro would be even if you slam it it will grind

You said you put in a pro5.0. What did you do with the stops? This sounds like mis- adjusted stop. Back them out or remove them , they serve no purpose.

re: your post #8: If the clutch is disengaging properly, but the teeth are only partially engaging when shifted into 2nd, it could pop out like this. Broken fork pads, worn or broken teeth on the gear & synchro are probable causes.

Make sure the trim boot or the console is not interfering with the lever travel or something simple before you pull the trans.

Id say your due for a budget rebuild.

Look at it this way, do it once, do it right, enjoy the car for years.
