New Build-Ready For The World!!!
So, I've finally decided it was time to build something for the TX2K and TI KOTS events. With that being said, I couldn't just build any old thing, I'm extremely competitive, and as it just so happens, my good friend just purchased what's arguably the baddest GTR in the country, so I have to bring my A-game! So, I got in touch with Bryan, at L.M.E., and we have worked up on bad ****! Hoping to get them started soon, they will have the block next week I believe. He sold me on running the new Dart compacted graphite LS block, and without going into too much detail right here, yes, I'm building something with enough horsepower, it warrants spending the money for the CGI block. It will be getting twin GT42X's...anyone have any experience with that particular snail? I guess I shouldn't say that so surely, those are not set in stone, I am open to something better and would appreciate any info/suggestions! I'm also looking for suggestions on the boost controller. I was dead set on running the ams1000, but a friend is selling an HKS evc6 color, and I know nothing about that one, other than he tells me "its the ****", lol. So looking for some feedback there as well. As things evolve, I'll be giving you updates on the build. I'm excited to get started, and I'm stoked about having L.M.E. be apart of this build, those guys do amazing work and Bryan is awesome to deal with! Working on getting G.M. to be a sponsor on this build, hoping that comes into fruition, that will be big!

Seems like an awesome build! The GTX turbos are some bad dudes! In reality any 71-76mm turbo would work. If you have a big budget look into the HTA4205Rs from Forced Performance. What heads and Transmission?

Lol, keeping up ain't the goal, I'm looking to surpass! Heads are Edelbrock LS-R's, the trans is really presenting an issue currently, lol. I know people are gonna expect a 6 speed, but I'm going auto. I've been talking to Gilbert at Ace Racing Trans about doing a 4l80 for it. But, someone else recommended Rossler. It's a ways out, so I'll deal with that as the time gets closer and just continue doing research for now. I'm working on a sponsorship on the car right now, that will be revealed later on.

Lol, no sir. It's gonna be a 4l80, we're just gonna play with the gears and find something that's a happy medium across the board, for digs and rolls.

Honestly, 2k whp. As much as I would love to say its gonna be a straight drag car, because with those numbers, should go deep 6's and well over 200...its not, I'm building it as a "multi purpose" setup, so to speak. It's being built for TX2K, TI, Texas Mile, and such like events. So it has to function as a drag car and still be a monster in the roll races and the distance run. And its gonna be 100% streetable, daily driver (not that it will get driven daily, but weekend cruiser, sure). Not saying it will be, but I'm shooting for the title of "fastest street legal car", and that's the whole angle I've been working to market it for sponsorships so far. So its debut will be at SEMA, followed by Detroit Autorama. I have my truck project, which was being built for SEMA, but I figured why not scale it way back, and just focus my attention on this one, since I've already had trucks at SEMA, I wanna go in with something different and show some versatility with my designs. And in all reality, this build won't be done this year, I'm shooting for next November. No pics yet, its a fresh build and just focusing on the engine build for now. We are in discussions on the car, that's the major sponsorship I'm shooting for, once we come to an agreement, I'll let the cat out of the bag. The trans is in the hands of Gilbert, at Ace Racing. Right now the drive train is the only focus.

Yeah, Reza's old car. Yeah, Larry Larson's car is a beast, but while its street legal, its still a stripped interior, drag car, packing the bare minimums to be considered street legal, I'll be full interior, air conditioning, etc, lol, I will be able to jump in and head out on Vacation...that's what I mean by a street vehicle. And the competition I'm looking to win is TX2K and TI, not the street car shootouts. However...I may just have another rear end built, with a 4.88 gear or something, lol, and just try my luck there too!
