Default Best drag radial for a street car with 800-1000 wheel hp?

Guys, I am in the market for some new tires. I will be putting these on my race stars. I'm currently driving around on 315 nitto 555R's on my Fikse's and its spin city to 4th gear. I will relegate the fikse's to cruising and what not but put the race stars on if I know im going to race or go to the track etc.

With all that being said, cars around here roll race. Regardless of my opinion or yours on the matter thats the way it is here haha. Im thinking of a Hoosier or Mickey Thompson. The wheels are 15X10

Car is a twin turbo T/A with a T56, 9" stock width rear and the car currently makes 803 wheel on 12psi, should be close to 1000 on high boost. Thanks for any advice you can give me..

M&H Racemaster or the Hoosiers.

Both will still struggle with that much power. But at least go for a 325/50-15...

agreed, the stickier the better.. i bet those nittos are worthless at 800-1000.. they should be limited at 400 hp lol

I'm in the 7xx hp area and have MT's on my SS, they hook up surprisingly well on the street especially from a roll. I normally get a little wiggle and skating but then they bite.

I'd try MTs personally but I'm a bit biased...friend had Hoosiers on his 800whp C5Z and they didn't hook for ****, has NT05Rs now but only hook from a 50 roll. Your car being heavier should be a bit better however.

First time I've literally EVER heard of that, most say Hoosiers are the stickiest tire on the market with a DOT stamp

my car weighs 3360 .. prob still a bit heavier than a c5Z though... I have gotten so many opinions from so many people here and elsewhere.. oh well, i need to figure this out! These nittos are useless haha

jt76, I have the same car and wheels u do and I run M&H Drag Radial 325/45R17 I have the same HP you do and I hook from a roll or dig. I can beat mid 9 sec cars on the street. Here is a YouTube of my car out rolling a 700+hp built 2.8kb Cobra.

I blew up the trans when i tried to launch on the 2 step... oops.. took it off the road for the winter i will probably buy some hoosiers this spring. I think i will keep the fikses and sell the race stars. My Mustang will be the track car.
