probably see 8-10 lbs of boost at most, will stock worked heads be fine or aftermarket?

stock block
stock internals
140k miles
1 7/8 long tubes
CME
FTP lid
02 10 bolt
rebuilt 4L60E with 3000 converter

i wouldnt even bother touching the heads

i wouldve done a search and seen that people are pushing 800+ hp through stock heads...

yes, stock heads are fine

you stock heads will make more power than the bottom can handle.

Check out mr2liter's post. We just made over 700 on his with an f1r on a stock bottem end and the heads have never been off of it. Was about 15#s on e85.

Don't worry w/ the bottom end. The trans and rear will give up B4 the crank/rods do..

the stock heads will be fine for that low boost level. IF you decide you want to step it up some, alot of guys run 317's

on my personal car, i plan to try out a set of LSA heads.

I run stock 317s at 10.5psi and its fine, a buddy ran Livernois cnc'd 243s at almost 20psi. Like these guys said the motor will be fine but will make more than that transmission and rear end want. The 3-4 clutches in my 4l60e hate my turbo.

What about running a set of stock 243's.
