5.3 in a 92 GMC Typhoon
I am looking to swap my 4.3 v6 for a 5.3. 8. Just tossining this idea around. I know I will have to run a matching transmission 4l60/80. Are there any adapters I can pur hase to mount the engine and cross member for the tranny? Also, what about reverse headers that support a single turbo application and and intercooler? Can I use the stock ECM from the vehicle I obtain the engine and tranny? I sent an email to painless wires as well as advanced adapters on the mouts. Tryinv to see whats already out there. Thanks in advanced for the support.

First off I hope you: Got Milk no..... $$$$$$$ They as Vengeance Racing has done this same setup yrs ago for a guy in GM High Tech mag. you will need to change dr shaft tran????? I think they used a 200r case and filled it with another trans 4l80.I have the mag... But call....(Too all truck owners:LS= CURRENT performance &@&-844-7570 ) if all else fails call Vengeance racing they did the build... also Lingenfelter did a 4wd Sonoma in mid 2ooo's with twin turbo 427= Motor Trend mag ....Conversions/Hybrids would be a better place to start.

Thanks for the direction... I contacted them and looked for the article. I am really getting amped for this build. Can anyone tell me how much street durable horse power I can get out of a 4.3, that won't have issues with the bottom end?
