Default fuel pressure question.

Ok guys i just took my 98 camaro and converted it to carb. i have everything wired and working. I am using my racetronix in tank pump that i had in the car already with efi. I am also still using the factory fuel line with the fuel return t'd off just in front of the left rear tire. Now here is my question is the return being in that location going to cause me any issue's? I have 7 psi with the engine running, but when i sut the key off i have noticed that the fuel gauge will read 9-11 psi. is this normal when using a efi pump? or do i need to use a bypass regulator and redo my return line?

Thanks in advance for any help

You don't have a regulator?

I chased my tail for ever and bought a new pump and regulator due to a fluid filled gauge. I will not use one on a engine again, once they get hot they read wrong. Glad you got it worke out now drive the **** outta it and enjoy it!

yeah that fluid filled gauge sucked put a dry one on and now it reads constant. Now i just need to figure out what kind of timing curve to run in it. dont really want to use the pills.
