Hey, I'm new on here and was hoping to get some advice. I have a 97 s10 that i'm planning to drop a turbocharged 5.3 in. I already have an iron short block. now it's just a matter of what to do to it on a pretty tight budget to get it extremely reliable with at least 500 hp. What parts should I get to maximize reliability? What should I reuse from the shortblock? Should I be looking at aftermarket intakes and fuel rails with stock heads? aftermarket heads? Basically I just want a rough guide of what specs I shoot for to achieve my goals and what parts will get me there. part numbers too if you got em. advice on turbo brand, size, etc etc would be awesome too! feel like i'm gonna get a lot of **** for not knowing this all, but I am not a master mechanic. Just a guy with a garage that wants some muscle in his truck.
