gmpp ls376/480 into 2008 silverado tuning My friend is in the middle of putting aan ls3 376/480in his Silverado. Iam the only one in my areawith tuning software but I'm still in learning stages. Would it be unwise to just load a stock ls3 tune in the trucks ecm and see what that gets us? One problem Isee is that an auto ls3 tune is going to be for a6l80trans and his truck is equipped with a 4l60... Any advice?

You cant just start flashing other tunes into the ecm, you can brick a e38 fairly easy by doing that. The truck is E38 ECM/T42 TCM, your looking at a E38/T43 tune which arent compatible. The 480hp ls3 wont run that well on a stock ls3 tune anyways. If no one is in your area your either going to have to do a ton of reading and get really familiar with the tuning software or your other option is having it tuned through email, we do that every day.
