Wiper motor. Common problem. Some have said the problem is actually in the motor casing, but you can't by just the casing. Motor assembles can be found many places...best price I found was on Amazon (2years ago). 20 minute replacement.

Yep it's the wiper control module that is connected to the wiper motor. My washer would continually spray the entire time my wipers were on. Changes the wiper motor assembly fixed the problem. Got mine from rockauto.com.

you can get just the cover, its about 40 bucks.I just did mine. I'll post the part number later but you can google it. lots of info.
I think the seal just goes bad.its just a thin layer of goo stuff kind of like the kn filter sealant. if yours work now its worth running a thin layer of sealant around the housing again to keep water out.
assuming water is the problem its not just the .00002 cent solder job on the the .002 cent circuit board

found my receipt. the cover was 60 bucks shipped. part number 88958172. I guess there's a rubber gasket now that I look at it again. not sure what that red goo crap was inside it..
probably a 30 min job the first time. disconnect battery or pull wiper fuse, pull black caps off wiper arms where they are bolted on, 15mm nut, mark orientation and remove (dont force them, they slip right off if you change angle as you pull upward), remove the weather strip, remove firewall cover (I think its a phillips or 10mm) theres also a nut on the fender holding it on, 1/2in. 2 10mm nuts hold the motor unit/frame on. disconnect connector and swap cover.
