Gonna be picking up a 01 trans am but I noticed it had an ls1 intake instead of the ls6 intake that I thought all 01-02 had. Has all the emissions on it too, the tile says its an 01 and matches the vin. The door sticker says 12/00 so maybe it's an early 01 model? I just found it odd

The stock engine could have been swapped out with a 98-00 engine?

I guess that could be the case, it ran good just thought it was a little odd it had an ls1 intake with the emissions on it for being an 01

Yeah probably swapped, could have even just swapped out the intake itself.
