Default a/c request 1999 pcm

I have a 2004 5.3 LM7 1999 pcm dbc auto trans with trans codes deleted to use manual trans with a 212/218 voodoo cam ,headers and CAI in a 1992 chevy pickup 2wd 5 speed. Truck runs great but when I use the a/c which is from the 1992 truck it will idle fine. But when I drive every time I push in the clutch or come to a stop it will almost stall and hunt for a few seconds. My electric fan is controlled by a flexalite controller which I had before and it works perfect. I would like to hookup the a/c request to the pcm so it will run properly with the a/c on. I just want to make sure how to do this. By searching I need to hook up my a/c 12 volts on to pin 17 red connector of pcm. I also have hptuners so I can make changes.

Thanks Joe

Check out the PDF I posted in the LSx engine swap sticky in this section (conversions and hybrids). It's a pinout listing diagram that might help.

This may sound odd, but... Do you have the VSS input hooked up? The PCM likes to know when the vehicle is moving vs. when it isn't and it will adjust idle accordingly (for load, etc.). Some people have reported problems with idle quality coming to a stop when they didn't have the VSS hooked up. The way I understand is it doesn't have to be accurate, it just needs to sense the speed changes.

I have the vss hooked up and working. I am going to give it a try this weekend and see how it goes.

I finally got around to doing this and I hooked up a/c request to pin 17 red connector but nothing happened. I then connected a ground to pin 55 red connector so the pcm thought the a/c system has pressure and everything works now.
