Default Losing fuel pressure

I have a 2001 ls1 corvette, I am stumped with my fuel system. When I turn the key to prime the fuel system I am pushing 60psi then as soon as the whine of the fuel pump stops the pressure drops to 10psi.... The dealerships out here in Hawaii say I need a new fuel pump and I don't think that's the case. Can anyone guide me? Idk if its the regulator, but no fuel is leaking externally. Thank you for your help. Chris

Theres an internal check ball inside of the fuel pump module that the fuel is leaking past.

It needs a fuel pump module. Or You-Know-What rig it and put an inline check valve that may restrict flow. Just listen to the dealership on this one.
