Default Adding Neutral park switch to 95 4l60e

I've installed a LT1 with 4L60E trans out of a 1995 Camaro into a Hot Rod project. The car doesn't have a column or shifter Park/neutral switch and it would be a pain to install one. Question can I install a trans mounted Park/Neutral switch used on trucks etc to this trans that never had one? Is the shifter shaft the same and would it be a direct bolt on? Camaros had P/N switch on the column in 95 I believe.

I know the trans shifter shaft is longer on the truck mounted P/N swich, you would have to swap over to the correct shaft.

I think all Gen 4 (early and later) F-body had Console mounted shifter with the PN switch and TCC mounted on the shifter.

Trans shifter shaft length, ya that is what I was worried about. I don't have a truck shaft to swap.

I think it is an easy swap. you can get the shaft from the dealer.. I had read something on this subject of P/N.. and is why I saw that the shaft was different.

research P/N switch and maybe you will find the part number...

you can swap the shift shaft out but on an older transmission there may not be a place to both the neutral safety switch itself to the case.
