Default Billet Specialties Street Lite 15x8

Anybody running Billet Specialties Street Lite 15x8 5.5 rear spacing with issues? Car has lt1 rear brakes stock length rear if it matters. Not looking to 15x10 f/body specific wheels at this time. Pictures would be great

Are you having issues with yours? 15x10 and 15x8 are going to look the same fromt the outside since the only change is the back spacing.

Well I was considering buying them. They have 15x10 that are f/body specific but there's no mention of there 15x8. guess its a marketing thing.

The 15x8 are not fbody specific. The fbody specific 15x10 have a raised barrel to clear the brakes. Not sure if the 15x8 will clear your brakes or not.

With you having LT1 brakes the 15x8 will clear even if its not F-body specific. Some guys with LS1 cars switch to LT1 brakes to run certain rims. I'd get 15x10 wheels anyway. they fit with no issues and look like some bad *** steam rollers from the back!

Only problem there is I want to run a 27in tall tire. the 275/50/15 is 26in and approved up to a 9.5 wide rim, 275/60/15 which most run on a 15x10 is 28in tall and even that tire is only approved up to a 9.5 rim.
With 15x8 I can run a P255/60R15 which is 27in tall and I get the benefits of a lighter rim and tire combo... Im not against running a 15x10 w/ a 275/50/15 should fit even being lowered np and would look better paired w/ the 17x7 front opposed w/ the 15x8. hope that all makes sense

I'm curious as to what your reference is for those size tires are only "approved" and fit up to a 9.5" wide wheel.

As for pics here's what I can do. 15x4 with a 1 3/4 backspace, 15x10 with a 7.5 backspace with 26x10 hoosier slicks. I have 27x11.5 quick time pro's going on next time.

Citing one example you've provided, which is the 275/50R15 MT ET Street Radial, the tread width is 10.5", with an "approved rims" width range of 7.5-9.5". I can tell you with great certainty that I don't know ANYONE in their right mind who would run that tire on a 7.5" wide wheel; few run them on 8" wheels (I sure wouldn't), but MOST people run those tires on 10" wide wheels.
Using another example, which is the same tire in 255/60R15, the tread width is 9", with an "approved rims" width range of 7-9". Those tires would probably be pretty happy on an 8" wide wheel, but using the plus/minus 1 inch rule, it would also fit correctly on a 10" wide wheel.
Finally, there's the 275/60R15, 7.5-9.5" "approved" range, 9.5" tread width. Since there's a good deal more sidewall on these than the 275/50R15, there are people who successfully run these on an 8" wide wheel, but by the numbers would still be better suited to a 10" wide wheel.
The point is you'd have much less for tire options on an 8" wide wheel and much more on a 10" wide wheel. If the slightly lighter weight and/or other factors of the narrower wheel is a top priority for you, then use it. However, don't let those charts detract you from buying a 10" wide wheel.

Thanks guys for the good info. The 275/60/15 come out to 28in tall? My friend has these and he keeps telling me there only 27in

275/25.4 = 10.82"
10.82 x 1.2 = 12.98" + 15" = 27.98"

What did you have to do to fun 15in's in the front with ls1 brakes? Im thinking og going 15x6's or 15x5's

I ordered the 1.625 back spacing and I had to do a minimal amount of grinding to the caliper, nothing serious. Didn't hurt the integrity of the caliper or anything.

You run a spacer at all. I'm thinking 15x5 with 2.5 back spacing or 15x6 w/ 3.5

No spacer in the front or rear
