Hey everyone! My names Matt, I'm from the southern Maryland area, and I'm in the process of building a big turbo l33 swapped 240sx convertible. Up until a few months ago, the car was powered by a built rb25 (skyline gtst drivetrain) and produced 468 hp and 411 lb ft of torque. Well for the amount of money I've invested in the car, I'm just not happy with those numbers, so rather than drop another 6-8k to join the 600 hp club, I decided to yank it all out, and do a budget turbo 5.3. I picked up a l33 with 51,000 miles from a junkyard for 600$ and have started piecing it together! Shooting for 750whp. Here's the chassis it's going in. It's a 94 Nissan 240sx convertible. 89,000 mile shell, with fortune auto coils, brembo bbk, 6 point cage, and one off 18x12/18x8.5 hre 525s. I have wide body fenders for the rear to widen it 50 mm on each side because I intend to run a 335/30/18 on the rears to put that power to the ground! I llook forward to talking to all of you, and sharing my build as it progresses!

welcome matt ive seen your car around- so sick, I have a vert, a odyvia body kit, and ls1/t56 waiting for winter build up. I sold my rb26/25 trans s13 to get into a ls1 hatch deff way to go. you will never look back on a jap motor if your drifting. everyone here is great no matter what the chassis is. all very helpful. best site for lsx stuff

Thanks George! I'd be dying to see your car! Do you have a build thread? I'm out of the drifting scene. His is my 5th 240, so at this point, I just want to build something to beat up on the more expensive cars with. I was trying to sell the car, but at this point, I've invested so much, there's no point, might as well just keep making it faster, and throwing more money at it lol. I originally came from the f-body scene, about 20 cars ago. I couldn't get back into the lsx scene fast enough haha. I'm sure you're right about never looking back. I can't really say I was ever that happy with my rb from the get go.
