Default Clutch pedal in 72 chevelle

I have a column shift car being converted to a manual t-56.

I have replacement pedals and they don't look like they are going to fit in the metal bracket that holds them? Do I need to cut it to make it work? I'm referring to the metal bracket that the brake booster studs are on that hold the pedal.

Real long shot but does some one have the bracket design for the t56 master cylinder mount
Thanks
Jay

You have a new pedal assembly that's not fitting? Is it from the same type/year chevelle?

I had another guy explain it to me on chevelle site and found the bracket on e-bay pre made.
