Default fastest stock block?

What's the fastest anyone has gone with a stock block in a stock suspension car?
I know Casper is probably the fastest stock block in general.

Maybe so but I am pretty sure Van has his eyes set on a 4 sec pass before the end of the year.....

Tim's turbo pinto went 7.7 at 177mph, 408 with arp head studs standard size no orings or anything fancy

1/8 mile was 5.001 at 135mph 3225 race weight

Pretty sure a Borg 480 billet single has been in the 4s but not sure if block was stock or not

I see my name was thrown around and wanted to get clarification to this thread.

Having fastest stock block is broad between several different manufactures, so are you refering to a LS based GM block?

If so i do claim to have the Fastest Stock Block LS 6.0 in the country on Stock Suspension and a 275 Tire. I have documented my build with videos and threads sense 2009, so i have a good rap sheet for my claim.

I have only made very few races this year in Mean Street which is capped class and not been able to test any to get that 4sec pass, but i will and do it on Pump Gas.

I truly may not be the Fastest, but my posts and videos would claim and back it up. If someone can back up there build and claims and show they are faster then great job to them.

Thanks,

VB

Very cool man, that is exactly what we were looking for.. We are building a very similar combo now, just wanted to know who the top dog was right now!

Very good running car, I can only hope the Camaro run's as strong. We've been 5.60's on a 347 with a plate kit.. I'm hoping the new form of induction get's us there a little quicker.

I had the pleasure of witnessing his 5.13 pass. This was done on a good track....but not a great one. He had to really drive the car! The car came very close to crossing the center line and he very subtly got it straightened out. Most others would have let off the gas.

The car is a beautiful piece of work!

I can vouch for Tim's pinto being a stock block as can many others. I think he might be the fastest and does it on 275 dr's too!
