Default Help Me Pick a Street/Strip Set up

First some background on the car. It is a 2000 Z28 M6, cam only (397 whp) and has a 150 shot Nitrous Outlet plate on it. Of course it has all the supporting mods; tick master cyl, TDP clutch, UMI LCA's, MWC torque arm, etc. It is a street car still that sees the track often. I only put about 1000 miles on my car a year at the most.

I am wanting to run a street/strip wheel set up. I am looking at doing the 17x4.5 Weld Alumstar 2.0's (black) and 15" weld RTS (black) out back. I am thinking that a 15x10 would be best out back? What I need to know is if the Alumastars will be okay with limited street driving and I would also like to know what backspacing I need front and rear. It seems as if everybody uses the medium pad height for both front and rear. Just am absolutely lost on what backspacing I need.

Additionally, i'm going to need some help with choosing a tire setup. Being an M6 I am leaning towards a bias ply tire, but I do not know how streetable those are. I know that they are thin, so they puncture very easy. I am also worried about flat spots, cracking, etc. So if anybody could offer some personal experience or general info on what size and type of tire I should run, that would be great! Thank you very much in advance everyone!

15x10 will need a 7.5 bs for a stock rear. and I think the alumastar 17" only come in one backspacing which is 2.25 if I'm not mistaken, can't quite remember. Seems as a lot of people have the 17" alumastars on "street" cars. But honestly how much they actually drive with them i dont know.

Why not go with a set of Billet Specialties Street Lites? That's what I'll be ordering tomorrow for my 95% street, 5% stip WS6. I'm going to go with 17x8's up front and 17x11's in the rear.

That really would be ideal... A 17x7 or something around that size would be perfect. Unfortunately I really don't care for the BS street lites. I am set on the weld alumastars even though they are significantly more expensive.
