Default LT1 Probs after mods

LT1 (loaded) question or help for my friend with a 95 Z28, Long story short he got a package deal from Llyod Elliot heads stage 1, Lunati Cam 565in 579 ex, 227/235 with 1.6 roller rockers.Reflash from PCM for less,36lbs injectors. He gets everything back together and gets the car running tonight and doesnt seem to be running on all cylinders and breaks up terrible at 1800-2200 rpm. The car seems to have less hp then the stock set up. The oil pressure is 45 and temp is steady at 170. the opti is brand new with plugs and wires are 1,000k new. I am not much of an LT guy and was curious to gain some input. Thanks !

Triple check that you have the plug wires hooked up to the opti correctly and that none are burnt on a header tube or have rubbed through against something. I've done both myself so I've got to recommend it.

What brand is the new opti?

Getting any codes?

Try disconnecting the MAP and MAF sensor one at a time and drive it. When my MAP sensor went bad it would idle fine but have random moments where it would want to die when giving it any throttle. Right now I have my MAF disconnected and the engine response is much better, which tells me it probably needs cleaning, since in a datalog the values don't look way off.

That's really odd... this was the top thread when I went into "LT1-LT4 Modifications".
I wonder if their is some kind of date-sorting issue on the server that is causing it to return old threads, and that's why there has been such an increase in replies to threads that have been dead for years?

I think its the new infinite scroll the site has. I was responding to the "lt1 is killing me" thread and I about posted to this one. My computer is slow to catch up on scrolling and dumped me here.
