Opinions? Don't want to run HIDs so I don't want to open that can of worms. But this goofy 9005XS bulb seems to have limited options.

I recently replaced my high and low beams
Highs - Sylvania zxe 9005xs was the whitest halogen I had local access to
Lows - http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=17166
Very impressed with the lows, the highs are definitely more white than stock but not close to the HID's.
Also disabled the headlight washers while I had access to them.

It's been a while since I swapped them out, but I ended up with 7000k bulbs off Ebay in an effort to match the HID low beams as best I could. Theoretically the 7000s would be a lot bluer than the HIDs (I think the stock HIDs are 4300?), but in my case they seem to match pretty well.
Here's a thread I started about it over on CF.com a few years ago, which includes a couple of rather crappy pics. As I said in that thread, in person it was easier to see the color difference between the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs on one side and the Ebay 7000k bulb on the other.
