Default Bolt-on ls6 vs e85 GTR

Sup guys.......got to run a 630whp 6xxwtq GTR on e85 tonight. There was a alot of **** talking goin on about this but none by me. We set up a dig run.....yea m6 rwd vs awd......lol NOT a good idea. All in all it was not a terrible thrashing but I woulda like to have been a little closer. After the run he his car ran 10.5 @ 135......I was told it ran a 10.8-10.9 @ upper 120's.

We were trying to catch a light to start from and we did.....but I jumped trying to anticipate the green. So we turned around and this time we couldn't trip the light. So I honked it off and was a little late on the hit.....wouldn't have mattered much though. I had a clean run and the car hooked well.....his really hooked well and put most of the distance on me right out the gate. I slowed his pull to a crawl but there was no catching him. We ran a long 1/4 and I was right at my rev limit when we let out at about the same time. Him being about 5 cars in front.....which is probably about right considering the et difference. I had about as clean a run as I could have other than a smidge late on the hit. But a smidge late on the hit to a car like that is instant death.

Those cars are ******* nasty on the holeshot. His GTR had i/e some different turbo piping, injectors, e85, toyo r compounds and some crazy tuner thing where he could even adjust his clutch engagement.

All in all it was fun. Should have a vid of it when ever who ever has it gets it posted then I'll post it.

edit..................VID ON POST 38

LOl....for sure. I didn't know he was on e85. He said he picks up 135hp on his e85 tune. I bet on like a 20 roll I woulda been about a car and a half back. But I would rather get my *** handed to me from a dig

I will tell you guys this......I didn't lose any distance on the shift like most vids I see on here

He rolled in and turned the car off. Noway to smell it. Idk what I woulda been smelling if I did smell it. I've never been around it. He came from the city area, there is none local.

Nathen has been putting a 5.3 together and now it's in a 3rd gen. Just fired it yesterday.

Considering his AWD and 200 hp advantage it sounds like you really didn't do THAT bad lol

E85 has a sort of peanuts and farts smell to it. Some say it smells good, I wonder what crack they are on.

Don't get it but people say it smells good like popcorn or birthday sex. I don't really see that though. A few local guys were telling me how awesome it is. After replacing a fuel filter and getting some in my face I don't see what they are talking about. It was like having the planters peanut guy back his *** into my face and letting one rip.

lmao, It smells aweful raw imo. My buddies car had a leak at the fuel rail and it couldn't keep my face near it for more then 5 seconds.

But the smell that hangs around / burnt E85 aint bad.

Good run, the GTR's are a handful in most forms of motorsports

I didn't get hustled . I knew there was bullshit involved. There was no doubt about that. There was **** talking goin on between him and a friend with a 9sec camaro to. Now why would someone want to run a 9sec car or me???? I don't get this not being upfront about your mods/times bullshit. I don't call it hustling......I call it lying. People that do that has a problem. Their problem is they probably can't win on equal terms. Equal terms to me woulda been him on pump. Then he woulda looked at camaro tailights.

I coulda ran him from a roll if I had wanted.......but unlike you I'm not scared of taking off from a stop and I would rather lose to a awd car from a dig than win from a ****** *** roll.

From a 20 roll I bet he still woulda won but probably only by a car and half........does that satisfy your roll racing need?
