Default where to splice ignition power source on gauge install

Hey guys this is my first post on tech ive been reading forms on this sight for years and can usually find what im looking for but not this time..i am getting ready to install some glowshift gauges in my car and was wondering where a good play would be to splice the ignition power source wire... i would like to make it as clean and painless as possible but not have to worry about shorting a circuit out or something

use a "add-a-circuit" wire from any local autoparts store. It will probably need a 10 amp fuse and just connect it to any other hot circuit in the drivers side door fuse box. Its been a long time since i had mine installed, but i think i used the stereo fuse to tap into.

This will work? I want my gauges to come on when I turn the key. Taping into the stereo will be good?
