Does anyone repin PCM's?

Does anyone repin PCM's? My buddy is looking to switch his PCM in his '98 Z28 for a 99+. I hear there is someone on here you can send a PCM to that will repin them to fit the '98 harness. Any help would be appreciated. Is there is anything else that needs to be done with this PCM swap? Like sensors, etc.

It is doable, however the internal pins in the PCM are rigid and can't be changed from one position to another. To do it a lot of wiring and soldering is required.

Hum, ok. Well I have no idea how to repin a harness. I'll have to let my buddy know whats up. I'm sure there's a chart, thread or something floating around this forum on how to do it. Is it literally just repining the harness that goes into the PCM? Or is other stuff involved?

Just unplug the connector, remove the covers from the harness plug and pop each pin out and into the correct new position. Not sure exactly what else is involved.

This is a PCM from inside
The pins can't be changed from it's original position so you need to do a good soldering job using special wire to change their arrangement.
I have not done it for a PCM but I have done it for other devices with much less pins and it's still a PITA. I would never do it because there's no reason.
I prefer to repin 10 harnesses than 1 PCM.

On the home page they say they are working on a hot swap project for 97-98 pcm. The only thing needed for swap will be the pcm no harness change needed anylonger...but they also have the repin directions on site as well.
