Default Elio Motors

Is it just me or is this the perfect DD beater? They just bought the old Shreveport GM plant, production planned to begin June '14. I cant wait to replace my civic with this.

Anyways, I don't dislike trikes (the Grinnall Scorpion is one of my favourite cars) but I wonder how well this works in the real work. I also wouldn't buy it as a DD because it seems to be a single seater.

I will have to crunch some numbers. Keep my Expedition (13mpg current DD) and Camaro (who gives a crap mpg toy), and see if this would make financial sense just to run back and forth to work.

I drive 100 miles a day at least, so just the savings from my 40mpg civic will add up quick. Not to mention my civic has no A/C and burns at least 4 quarts of oil a month. I would miss the ability to throw engines and bikes and whatever else I can think of in my beater...but at $7K and 85mpg I could afford to drive my truck more. Ive been looking at the Fiesta ST and BRZ as a replacement, but would rather spend all the cash saved on my race cars instead.

Based on sentence structure and word choice alone, I'd guess a 7th or 8th grade B+ student.

I spoke with Elio today and learned that the car as is pulled .9G. Insane for this type of vehicle. Their website leaves a lot to be desired...although the gas savings calculator is nice. I hate doing math for fun, fells like work.
