Default My C5 LS3 Vortech Project

Hey guys, just wanted to share my current project. I installed a cam only LS3 into my C5 last year and decided it was time to bump the power up a bit. I came up on a deal on a A&A Vortech kit that I couldnt pass it. Im hoping to have the car done this week. Im expecting over 600rwhp on 7-8psi on a safe 91oct tune. Car is stock L92 block, stock LS3 heads, TSP 231/236 114lsa and 1 3/4 TSP headers.

Intercooler, trans cooler n rad

They welded solid mounts for the rad

Blower w/bracket installed

That'll be a fun car when you're done, good luck with it.

It'll make over 600. What other mods do you have?

Well just drivetrain and chasis mods. the 4L65E is fully built and has a Yank SS3600 in it. The rear is from a Z06 and has hardened gears. C5Z06 springs and custom valved DRM Bilstein shocks. Oh and the custom exhaust I built. I made an xpipe with two dynomax bullet mufflers that dump under the car. I picked up over 2/10s and 2mph in the 1/8mi with that setup.

Got a quick little update from the tech today. The car was leaning out up top so we stepped it up with 60lb injectors and a double fuel pump setup. The car still needs tuning but it made over 570rwhp on the dyno late in the day. Not bad since it was 100*F outside and 70% humidity. Hopefully theyll do some early morning tuning when its a bit cooler. Cant wait to drive it already.
