Default T56 troubleshooting help!

I picked up a 99 T56 last night for $125

When you turn the input shaft in neutral, or any gear for that matter, if feels like it's binding up and makes a bit of a chattering/grinding sound.

I've never worked on a T56 before so this will be my first. I've rebuilt a few autos and figured I could tackle this one and that it would be a fun addition to my 1977

My first thoughts are the input shaft bearing?

Transmission shifts through all gears

Take it apart and see what you find.

Hell...you picked it up for $125!!!!!

Send it in to one of the venders for a rebuild! You will be still ahead and no headache of tearing it down! By the sound of it, the gears may be busted
