Default T56 shifter boot bracket

I have the worst luck with these things.. The plastic is weak and is always breaking.
Does anybody have a fix? Any machinest out there willing to fab and rivit an aluminum bracket together for $10 or so? Local salvages are running out lol.

Look up member Farmer2, he makes a wire replacement for the brittle plastic retainer.
