the set up goes like this:

1 Farad Capacitor

If they haven't put the cap in yet, don't they are a waste of time unless you have about 10 farads for your setup. Just put a optima yellowtop under the hood. That one farad is good for about 100 watts, and you already are using a JL1000/1 which has a regulated power supply, as long as the Voltage doesn't go under 11.5 the cap will not be doing a damn thing anyway.

Tell them to upgrade the factory grounds under the hood. You might want to think about changing your alternator to a higher amperage unit. We install jl1000's all the time and if the vehicle can't supply that amp with 100amps of current it will constantly go into voltage protection and not play. Something to ask about.
